Irrigon got its name from irrigation, and water is still what most often damages a home here: a split line under a manufactured home, a STEP sewer tank that backs up, or a water heater that gives out in the garage. O So Kleen is based in Hermiston, about 13 miles away, so our crew can usually reach Irrigon in about 20 minutes at any hour.
One IICRC-certified company handles the whole job, from water extraction and drying to mold removal, smoke and fire cleanup, sewage and bio-hazard work, and the repairs at the end. We send your insurance company the documentation it needs and bill them directly when your policy allows.

HVAC guy screwed up and didn't get the filter cap back on right....24 hours later I went downstairs and found this...3" deep. The gentleman showed up quickly, were super polite, and did an exceptional job. Highly recommend.
Irrigon sits on sandy ground on the south bank of the Columbia, in a semi-arid stretch of north Morrow County where summers run hot, winters bring hard freezes, and the wind carries dust for much of the dry season. Manufactured homes make up a large share of the town’s housing, and their plumbing runs through the underbelly, where cold air reaches it first. A line that splits on a January night can soak insulation and particleboard subfloor for days before a stain ever shows up inside.
The town also has a less common risk. Between 1988 and 1990, Irrigon moved every home off septic and onto a STEP sewer system, so each property has its own tank and effluent pump that sends wastewater to the city line. When a pump fails or the power goes out in a storm, that tank can back up into the house. Sewage water is a Category 3 loss: it has to be extracted, disinfected and dried by a trained crew, and porous materials it touched usually have to come out.
Wind and fire round out the picture. Fine sand works its way into attics, ductwork and dryer vents, and dry grass around town burns fast once the wind picks up. In July 2026, a wind-driven grass fire off Daisy Lane threatened homes before firefighters contained it. Even when flames never reach a house, smoke can settle into ducts and furniture. Add swamp coolers, irrigation and aging plumbing, and moisture gets trapped where mold can grow. Our crews are 13 miles away and equipped for every one of these losses.
Q: How quickly can you get to Irrigon?
A: In most cases, 20 to 30 minutes. Our crews leave from Hermiston, about 13 miles away, 24 hours a day, and extraction starts as soon as we arrive.
Q: My STEP sewer tank backed up into the house. What should I do?
A: Keep everyone, especially kids and pets, away from the water, stop running taps and flushing toilets, and call us. Sewage carries bacteria, so do not try to mop it up yourself. We extract the water, remove contaminated materials, disinfect and dry the area, and rebuild. The tank or pump itself will also need to be checked by the city or a plumber.
Q: Does insurance cover a sewage backup?
A: It depends on your policy. Many homeowners policies only cover sewer and drain backups if you added a water backup endorsement, so check with your agent. Either way, we record the loss with photos, moisture readings and an itemized estimate, and we bill the carrier directly when it is covered.
Q: Water is leaking under my manufactured home. Can you fix it?
A: Yes. These leaks tend to show up late, after the insulation is already soaked. We cut into the underbelly, pull out wet insulation, dry the framing and subfloor with targeted air movers, replace what cannot be saved, patch the belly closed, and repair any damage inside.
Q: Do you clean ducts and dryer vents in Irrigon?
A: Yes. Blowing sand and dust load up ductwork and dryer vents faster here than in most towns. A clogged dryer vent is a fire risk, and dusty ducts spread grit through the house every time the system runs. We clean both and can add carpet cleaning to the same visit.
Q: What areas near Irrigon do you serve?
A: Irrigon, Boardman and the rest of Morrow County, plus Umatilla, Hermiston, Stanfield and Echo in Umatilla County. We are licensed in Washington too, and cross the river to Plymouth, Paterson and the Tri-Cities.
